Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I)

In line with its mission —to promote the country’s sustainable development and innovation—  LATU has a vast career supporting the industry with research, development and innovation (R&D&I). Ever since its beginnings, LATU has maintained a strong cooperation commitment with the national industry, leading the way and defining strategies for the country’s production development.

At present, LATU’s R&D&I services are provided by its foundation: Fundación Latitud. Through Fundación Latitud, and tapping on its permanently updated team of people, infrastructure and equipment, LATU envisages a new stage, where Research, Development and Innovation will have a more dynamic and modern approach, to provide the industry with support adapted to their specific needs. Consistent with LATU’s tradition as an articulator, both for the authorities and the country’s academia and production sector, Fundación Latitud is actively involved in applied scientific research, contributing with its own human capital, and listening to the needs of the productive sector, applying the state of the art science and technology.
