Our Technological Park will host the 15th Biennial Meeting of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry Latin America’s (SETAC LA)
The event, which is co-organised by Latitud (Foundation of the Laboratorio Tecnológico del Uruguay -LATU- oriented to the planning and implementation of research, development and innovation -R&D-), will take place from 17th to 20th September 2023 under the motto “Cutting-Edge Knowledge and Technologies for Environmental Health Management and Research”.
Along with recognised academics from the region and SETAC, the most notorious professional organisation for toxicology and environmental chemistry, Latitud is organising the 15th Biennial Meeting of SETAC LA, its Latin American chapter. This congress projects will be an excellent opportunity for students, academics, businesses, government officials, NGOs and consultants to debate about environmental affairs that are common to the region, as well as to learn about international regulatory trends and scientifical advance on water, toxicology and environmental chemistry.
One of the core topics will be centred in getting to know the new “One Health” approach. Information about microplastics, biodiversity, environmental impact and advance on the usage of new technologies for the monitoring of water bodies, Cyanobacteria control and decision-making support systems.
The 4 days in which it will take place will include 27 conferences, 11 training workshops and 4 international lectures, with the involvement of top researchers from Germany, Singapore, Chile and Uruguay, as well as poster exhibitions and institutional and commercial stands.
